Kids Are Special

At Legacy Surgery Center, we meet the extra special needs of children by creating a relaxed, comfortable environment. To make children feel more at home, we encourage them to wear their own pajamas, and to bring along one favorite toy or blanket.

We encourage parents to discuss the surgery with the child beforehand to help alleviate unnecessary stress. Parents are able to stay with their child until surgery and may join them as soon as they awaken. We recommend that one adult drive the car and another adult care for the child.
